Fang, Dracai of Blades

Fang, Dracai of Blades is our second deck for the Zero to Hero series! Standard disclaimer: These decklists are meant to showcase the hero and their playstyle, variations in the meta will always happen both in your local scene and at larger events. Feel free to discuss what’s working for you in the comments.

Lets take a look at the decklists:

Fang’s early game, and most important task, is to “flip.” We need to get three fealty tokens online as quickly as possible. Enablers in commoner to get online as quickly as possible include For the Dracai, Pledge Fealty, Scar Tissue (R/Y/B), Searing Gaze, Stabbing Pain, Sworn Vengeance, and Tip-Off. The rest of the deck is the payoff, a wide variety of attack reactions and utility cards to help us safely deal 20 damage to secure the win. Inventory cards include Den of the Spider and Smoke Out for additional marks during our opponent’s turn. Arcane Polarity and Nullrune Robe/Hood are present to help shore up our defenses against arcane damage.

Project Blue: Z2H Fang (Project Blue)

Key pickups at the next format “up” to assist with Fealty generation/marking are Affirm Loyalty, Cut from the Same Cloth, Endear Devotion, and Relentless Pursuit. Upgraded payoff cards include: Fire and Brimstone, Hunt to the Ends of Rathe, Rake Over the Coals, and Twist and Turn. Drop of Dragon Blood and Imperial Seal of Command are Legendary cards that can help get us over the goal on later turns.

Key pickups in the arena at the Blitz/CC level are Braveforge Bracers, Crown of Providence, Grains of Bloodspill, and Kabuto of Imperial Authority. Our defensive options improve with Shelter from the Storm, That All You Got?, and Warmonger’s Diplomacy. We came out of Project Blue with a solid base of Feality generator and marking options, but our payoffs at the Majestic rarity are stellar. They include Blade Flurry, Hunt’s End, Oath of Loyalty, Savor Bloodshed, and Perforate. Long Whisker Loyalty rounds out the Ms as a multi role staple for any Draconic hero.
